Together with the 2nd leg of the 2016-2017 Season, EMMA Philippines is proud to announce a new category for our Sound Quality competition, also know as “BEST OF SOUND,” together with our revamped categories for EMMA Racing.
Open to all competitors, Best of Sound is a single category – no holds barred. No installation and SQ only to be judged. To join, please indicate to our back office during the event, and register to join for only P2,500.00 (Discounts given to competitors who support our sponsors).
The main difference with Best of Sound is that Listening Pleasure will be judged using the competitors choice of music and format. There is no imaging or focus. Mechanics are simple.
- Judge to open the car door after completing regular judging process
- Competitor is given 1 minute to enter the passenger side door, and change the cd/sd card/usb/cf card and set the volume
- Competitor to indicate and place on the score sheet the new volume set for the Listening Pleasure track
- Judge to complete the judging process for listening pleasure for an additional 2 minutes.

EMMA Racing now will feature 4 separate categories:
- Racing 1.6L below
- Racing 2.5L below
- Racing high horse (2.5L above)
- Racing Utility (SUVs, AUVs, CUVs, Pick-ups, etc.)
The categories have now been split up to allow for more competitors to join in and have equal chances of wining. Categories are now based on engine displacement or vehicle use. Below are the criteria for judging EMMA Racing Philippines:
- Documentation of upgrades (picture will do)
- Cleanliness (interior, exterior, engine)
- Interior
- Exterior
- Engine and Performance
- Sound Quality (Distance to Stage, Height, Width, Spectral Balance and Listening Pleasure)
- SPL bonus points (1 point for ever DB over 125db up to 130db. maximum 5 points)
Entry fee for EMMA Racing is the standard P5,000 with discounts given to competitors who support our sponsors products!
