As always when it comes to advancements in the EMMA rulebook and new soundtracks, it was an unprecedented number of participants who made their way to Salzburg to get updated on the newest EMMA judging criteria. Nearly 150 participants from 40 nations were trained on the newest EMMA music titles 2026 and how to evaluate the sound quality of a car audio system. As the rulebook only underwent a slight update and the rules mostly remained the same, the participants focused primarily on the practical training sessions, which took place in vehicles and Headphones. During two intensive days, ample input as well as background knowledge was conveyed, which the new Head Judges can now carry to their countries to train their national judge teams. Of course, the get together with the enthusiastic community also provided boundless fun, because, aside from all differences, this event was characterized by mutual respect and enjoyment. As every year, the intensive workshop culminated in a delicious dinner, during which the successful graduates were presented with their freshly printed certificates.
