We’re launching a new segment on the EMMA Philippines Website featuring work from installers in the country and products from our premium Industry Partners. Our first install feature comes out of Tim’s Audio Garage, a relative new comer to the installation scene. However, with this install, it marks a huge step forward, given that the owner Tim, now holds the title of being the first shop in the Philippines to install the first Focal Ultima set in the country! Here’s our short Q&A with Tim regarding the install:
EMMA Ph: Hi Tim, could you describe what components were used for the install in this car?
Tim: Sure. Here’s the listing of components we used for the install.
- Headunit: McInstosh MX5000 with MPM4000
- Processor: Audison Bit ten D with DRC MP
- Amplifiers: Audison Voce AV Quattro
- Speakers: Focal Ultima Full Set
- Signal Cables: Esoteric with Ryan Audio RCA plugs
- Wires/Cables and Install Accessories: The install depot
EMMA Ph: How does it feel to be the first dealer in the Philippines to install the Focal Ultima set?
Tim: Wow! The feeling is great, knowing that i’m the first in my country to have installed a Focal Ultima set. I’m looking forward to see more Focal Ultima’s installed in the Philippines.
EMMA Ph: Did you face any major challenges while installing the Focal Ultima’s?
Tim:With the Focal Ultima set being a 3-way system, it was not that difficult to install the components at all. Fabricating proper custom speaker and tweeter mounts took some time but didn’t become an obstacle during the whole installation process.
EMMA Ph: Will we be seeing this car in the competition scene any time soon?
Tim: The automobile where the Focal Ultima set was installed in was primarily built for the satisfaction of the listener. But not eliminating the fact that it can and might join in EMMA competitions.
EMMA Ph: We’d be happy to see and hear this in the lanes, but if it was primarily built for satisfaction, we’re more than happy for its owner! What a great way to pass the traffic by. Lastly, would you like to thank anyone who made this install possible for you?
Tim: I would like to Thank Focal Philippines’ Mickey Tang for giving me the opportunity to install one of the best sounding automobile speakers in the world.
